The
Southern Counties Drama Festival - 2025 Adjudicator - Martin Parr, G.o.D.A
Associate
Martin originally
trained and worked as an actor, appearing at most UK theatres, on tour,
in the West End and on tour in the USA. He then made the natural transition
to directing. He sits on audition panels for several drama schools as
well as the Association of English Speakers and Singers. He is an Associate
member of GoDA.
Martin was nominated
for Best Director by the Off West End Awards for his production of Noël
Coward's 'Home Chat' and also his production of 'Hamlet' at The Rose
Playhouse.

'Too Clever by Half', Derby, 'A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the
Forum’, ‘Follies’, Romeo and Juliet', 'Into the Woods', 'Company', 'A
Little Night Music', 'Hay Fever' ‘Anyone Can Whistle’ and 'Sunday in
the Park with George' for The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama,
‘Semi-Monde, The Country Wife’, ‘Tartuffe’ and ‘Orlando’ for BADA and
‘Anyone Can Whistle’ and ‘Snoopy, the musical’ for RADA and ‘Gypsy’,
‘A Little Night Music’ and ‘Flora the Red Menace’ for Mountview.
Opera work includes:
'Acis and Galatea' at Canons and St John's Smith Square, London, Teixeira's
'Te Deum' and Handel's Messiah at Casa Da Musica in Porto, 'L'Ippolito',
Sable and Ambronnay Festivals in France and 'Comus' for the London Handel
Festival.
Future work includes
‘The Art of Success’ for Mountview and then a new play about PL Travers
for Melford Arts.
