The
Southern Counties Drama Festival - 2025 Adjudicator - Chris Jaeger MBE,
FRSA, B.Ed (Hons.), G.o.D.A
Chris Jaeger is
a highly-experienced writer, musician, actor and director. For sixteen
years he was the director of the Swan Theatre Worcester, and of the
professional Worcester Repertory Company based there, for which he wrote
and directed many shows.
He runs a professional
touring company called ‘On A Role’ for which he has written several
plays, four of which are currently touring this country and beyond.
He also wrote the lyrics of a ‘Worcestershire Song Cycle’ which premiered
at the Three Choirs Festival. He has been commissioned to write plays,
including one about King John by Worcester Cathedral, about saving energy
by Worcester Bosch, and about Charles Stuart by the Battle of Worcester
Society.
He is a senior member
of the Guild of Drama Adjudicators (GODA) and has twice been its Chair.
He adjudicates drama festivals all over Britain and beyond and has adjudicated
many national finals.
Chris is a Fellow
of the University of Worcester and a Fellow of the Royal Society of
Arts. He is also a drama advisor to the Royal Navy.
In 2013, he was
awarded the MBE for services to the Arts presented by Her Majesty Queen
Elizabeth.
Chris lives in Worcester
and is married with two cats
